A richly expressive Merlot with a deep ruby core and an inviting aromatic profile of dark plum, blackberry and cherry, lifted by violet florals and the subtle savouriness of dried thyme and bay leaf. On the palate, silky tannins and balanced acidity frame a fruit-driven core of plum and blackcurrant. The mid-palate evolves cedar and mocha - before giving way to smooth, lingering finish of dark fruit and cocoa. Polished and generous, with real fruit depth beneath it's aproachable character.
Our Pask Gimblett Gravels Merlot pairs beautifully with roasted lamb rack, beef tenderloin or duck confit - dishes that compliment the wines silky tannins, dark fruit and subtle earthiness.
