Hawke's Bay, a great wine capital of the world, is set to welcome an exciting new dining destination. Pask Winery is pleased to announce that hospitality personality John Logan has signed a lease and plans to open Eleven Thirty Three — a destination brasserie showcasing the region's finest produce, provenance, and wine.

For anyone searching for winery restaurants in Hawke's Bay that go beyond a simple platter, this is one to watch.

Finding the Right Partner for Pask

Pask's newly redecorated cellar door and restaurant space launched in mid-2024. Since then, the winery has been running tastings, events, and cellar door experiences from the space — but as a proud member of the Hawke's Bay community, Pask has always been looking for the right partner to bring exceptional hospitality alongside their award-winning wines.

"We wanted to partner with an experienced restaurateur who has the same passion for quality as we do at Pask," said Toni Butcher, Managing Director, Benton Wine Group.

Meet John Logan

A chance meeting led John Logan from Tickbox Hospitality Ltd to sign on to open Eleven Thirty Three. John brings over two decades of hospitality experience across the UK and New Zealand, with senior roles at some of the country's most respected venues.

He's renowned for delivering an exceptional customer experience and for letting great ingredients do the talking. Eleven Thirty Three will be no different.

"For me, it's simple — great wine deserves great food. Eleven Thirty Three will be a place where people can slow down, eat well, and enjoy the best of local hospitality," said John Logan.

What to Expect from Hawke's Bay's Newest Winery Restaurant

While the full menu is still under wraps, diners can expect a focus on seasonal, locally sourced Hawke's Bay produce — the kind of ingredients the region is famous for. Think dishes designed to complement the wines they're served alongside, with a style that leans into the brasserie tradition: generous, approachable, and beautifully executed.

The restaurant space itself looks directly into Pask's working winery through glass windows — so you'll be dining with a genuine connection to the winemaking happening on the other side. Pair that setting with a Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay, a Syrah, or something from the Small Batch collection, and you've got a winery dining experience that's hard to beat.

Why Visit Pask Winery

If you haven't visited Pask recently, you might not realise how much has changed. The state-of-the-art cellar door on Omahu Road in Hastings is one of the most impressive in the region — purpose-built for wine tasting in Hawke's Bay, private events, and now, destination dining.

The addition of a dedicated winery restaurant elevates the visit from a tasting to a full experience — and positions Pask as one of the must-visit winery venues in Hawke's Bay for food, wine, and special occasions. Whether you're a local looking for new restaurants in Hastings, a visitor exploring Napier winery restaurants on a weekend away, or planning something special, Eleven Thirty Three is set to become a genuine destination.

When Does Eleven Thirty Three Open?
